Your Relationships Should Stay Yours: A Private Personal CRM

Your deal flow and candidate lists should not live in rented tools. How Pulse, a private personal CRM for Mac and iPhone, keeps your contacts in your own account.

Your network is personal, and it should stay that way

Your contacts end up in someone else's cloud.

Think about where your most valuable relationships actually live today. Your deal flow sits in a startup's database. Your candidate list sits in a tool your firm rents. Your investor updates go through a platform that reads every name. Or it is all in an Airtable you built yourself and stopped updating.

Every one of those is somebody else's system. You are renting access to your own relationships.

Why this matters more than it sounds

Your network is not a list of names. It is years of context: who introduced you to whom, what someone told you over dinner, who is quietly thinking about leaving their job. That context is the most valuable thing you own professionally, and it is also the most sensitive.

When that information lives in a company's cloud, a few things are out of your hands:

  • What the company does with it.
  • Who else can see it.
  • What happens when the company changes its pricing, gets acquired, or shuts down.

How Pulse keeps your relationships yours

Pulse was built so your contacts stay in your account, not ours.

Your relationships, kept in your own home

  • Your data syncs through your own Apple iCloud account. Pulse uses Apple's CloudKit to keep your Mac, iPhone, and iPad in sync, so your contacts live in your own iCloud.
  • You choose what to connect. Apple Contacts, Google, Outlook, email, and calendars are all opt in, account by account.
  • AI asks first. Before your first AI feature or news scan, Pulse tells you what gets processed in the cloud and asks for your consent.
  • You control retention. You set how long Pulse keeps data, and you can delete your account from inside the app.

Private does not have to mean manual

The usual trade off is that private tools are dumb tools. Pulse is built to give you the useful parts of a modern CRM, like news about your people, meeting prep, and suggested reasons to reach out, while your relationships stay in your hands.

Your relationships took years to build. They should stay yours.
